World’s Best Cookie

Description

Wonderfully crunchy cookie that makes a lot and keeps for a long time.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • ½ cup flaked coconut
  • 1 cup crushed cornflakes cereal
  • ½ cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (170 degrees C).
  2. Cream together butter
  3. white sugar
  4. and brown sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Mix in egg
  6. oil
  7. vanilla
  8. baking soda
  9. and flour until well blended.
  10. Stir in oats
  11. coconut
  12. cornflakes
  13. and pecans until incorporated. Drop spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. If desired
  14. sprinkle with white sugar before baking.
  15. Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned and edges are set
  16. 12 to 15 minutes.
