Whole Wheat Muffins

Description

The muffins you get from this recipe using all-purpose and whole wheat flour are great while still warm from the oven!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease the bottoms only of 12 muffin cups or line them with baking cups.
  2. In a medium bowl
  3. combine all-purpose flour
  4. whole wheat flour
  5. sugar
  6. baking powder
  7. and salt; mix well.
  8. In a small bowl
  9. combine milk
  10. oil
  11. and egg; blend well. Add dry ingredients all at once; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened (batter will be lumpy.)
  12. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  13. Cool muffins 1 minute before removing from pan. Serve warm.
