Description

This is the recipe I’ve used for white bread for years. It’s simple, light and delicious.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • ½ cup shortening
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 (.25 ounce) packages active dry yeast
  • ½ cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 eggs
  • 7 cups bread flour

Prep Time: 20 mins

Cook Time: 35 mins

Total Time: 3 hrs 25 mins

Servings: 20
