Vegan Brownies

MMMMM…Vegan Brownies!!!! These are very gooey, which is a good thing in my book. However, if you want your brownies a little more solid you’ll need to cook them longer than the recommended time. Great for people with egg or dairy allergies too!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Stir together flour
  3. sugar
  4. cocoa powder
  5. baking powder
  6. and salt in a large bowl. Pour in water
  7. vegetable oil
  8. and vanilla; mix until well-blended. Spread evenly in the prepared dish.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven until top is no longer shiny
  10. 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before cutting into 16 squares.
