Vegan Baked Oatmeal Patties

Vegan oatmeal patties.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 cups quick cooking oats
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup spaghetti sauce
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ cup nutritional yeast
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Stir in oatmeal. Cover
  3. reduce heat to low
  4. and cook until oats are tender and water is absorbed
  5. 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  6. Add onion
  7. spaghetti sauce
  8. pecans
  9. oil
  10. nutritional yeast
  11. garlic powder
  12. onion powder
  13. basil
  14. coriander
  15. sage
  16. and active yeast to oatmeal in the pot; mix well. Form into patties and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  17. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. Turn patties over and bake for 15 more minutes.
