Tonkatsu / Katsu Sauce

Description

This is a version of a sauce used for tonkatsu (pork) or chicken katsu. My family loves it, and I like it better than a local restaurant’s sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 4 teaspoons dry mustard powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl
  2. stir together the ketchup
  3. mustard powder
  4. garlic powder
  5. pepper
  6. and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to blend the flavors before serving.
