Texas-Style Burgers

Description

Change up hamburger night with this Texas-style take on the classic cheeseburger. With green chiles and onions mixed right into the hamburger meat and guacamole on top, these burgers are real crowd-pleasers.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • ½ cup A.1. Original Steak Sauce, divided
  • ⅓ cup chopped onion
  • ⅓ cup chopped green chilies
  • 6 roll (blank)s hamburger buns, split
  • ½ cup guacamole
  • ¾ cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • ¾ cup chopped tomato

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat. Mix ground beef
  2. 1/4 cup of the steak sauce
  3. the onion and chilies; shape evenly into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  4. Grill patties
  5. uncovered
  6. 11 to 13 minutes or until cooked through (160 degrees F)
  7. turning patties occasionally and brushing with the remaining 1/4 cup steak sauce.
  8. Serve in buns topped evenly with the guacamole
  9. cheese and tomatoes.
