Teriyaki Flank Steak

Description

This marinated, grilled teriyaki flank steak goes great with broccoli and rice.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup wine
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup grated fresh ginger root
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ pounds beef flank steak

Instructions

  1. In a large resealable plastic bag
  2. mix the wine
  3. soy sauce
  4. olive oil
  5. brown sugar
  6. ginger
  7. garlic
  8. and pepper. Place steak in the bag
  9. seal
  10. and refrigerate 8 hours
  11. or overnight.
  12. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat.
  13. Remove steaks from the bag
  14. and discard marinade. Place steaks on the grill and cook 6 to 8 minutes per side
  15. to your desired degree of doneness. The internal temperature should be at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) for rare. Allow the steaks to sit about 5 minutes before slicing against the grain
  16. and serving.
