Teriyaki Chicken

Description

A very easy to make chicken and tasty too, with a nice flavor!

Ingredients

  • 1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut in half
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Rinse chicken halves
  2. and pat dry with paper towels. Place chicken cut side down in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium mixing bowl
  4. combine sugar
  5. soy sauce
  6. grated ginger and garlic. Mix well
  7. and pour mixture over chicken. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
  8. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  9. Bake chicken uncovered in the preheated oven for 1 hour
  10. basting frequently. Test for doneness
  11. making sure there is no pink left in the meat. Let cool slightly
  12. then cut into smaller pieces to serve.
