Sweet Basil Tomato Sauce

Description

This is a sweet tomato sauce that I make when we are having homemade spaghetti and meatballs.

Ingredients

• 2 (14.5 ounce) cans petite diced tomatoes
• 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
• 1 onion, finely diced
• 3 tablespoons dried basil, or to taste
• 2 cloves garlic, pressed

Instructions

1. Combine diced tomatoes
2. crushed tomatoes
3. onion
4. basil
5. and garlic in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until slightly reduced
6. about 30 minutes.

Cook Time: 30 mins

Total Time: 40 mins
