Supremely Spicy Hummus

Description

I love to use this as a dip for pita bread.

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • 5 dashes hot pepper sauce (such as Cholula®)
  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons cold water

Instructions

  1. Combine tahini
  2. olive oil
  3. lemon juice
  4. garlic
  5. cayenne pepper
  6. cumin
  7. salt
  8. sesame oil
  9. and hot sauce in a food processor or blender; blend until very smooth
  10. about 3 minutes. Add garbanzo beans and blend for 2 minutes. Add water and blend for 3 minutes more. Chill in refrigerator.
