For the greatest omega-3 benefit buy the fattiest fish. Try mackerel, anchovies, herring, sardines, salmon, tuna and turbot. Frozen and canned are OK, the USDA says.

- 5 cups mixed greens
- 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 cup scallions, sliced

- ½ teaspoon cumin

- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ tablespoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 pound salmon fillet, skin removed
