Description
Spaghetti is one of my favorite meals, so I came up with this recipe to have a variation. I also had my dad in mind when I thought of this, because he loves Sloppy Joes. I knew he would just love this and he did. It is another recipe that I just thought of… I am not sure if it has been done before, but this recipe is really good.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground beef
- ½ medium onion, diced
- ½ medium green bell pepper, diced
- 1 pinch dried Italian seasoning, or more to taste
- salt to taste
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 (14 ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 6 medium hamburger buns, split
- 6 slices shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef

- and salt in the hot skillet until beef is browned and crumbly
- 5 to 7 minutes.
- Add mushrooms and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in pasta sauce
- cover
- and cook until sauce has reduced slightly
- 5 to 10 minutes longer.
- Serve Sloppy Joe mixture on hamburger buns with a slice of mozzarella cheese.
