Sour Cream Pound Cake

Description

Much better than the standard pound cake, I got the recipe from a great-aunt, over 40 years ago.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour a 8×4 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl
  3. cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add sour cream and eggs.
  4. Add flour and pinch of soda
  5. mix well. Pour into a 8×4 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 1 hour
  7. or until a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.
