Sonoma Burgers

Description

Thick and juicy burgers are glazed with steak sauce, topped with a sun-dried tomato, basil and pine-nut spread and fresh goat cheese, and served on a sourdough roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds ground beef
  • ½ cup A.1. Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce, divided
  • 2 tablespoons chopped oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon toasted pine nuts
  • 6 each sourdough rolls, split
  • 3 ounces goat cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat. Shape meat into 6 (1/2-inch-thick) patties; set aside. Mix 6 tablespoons of the steak sauce
  2. the tomatoes
  3. basil and pine nuts; set aside.
  4. Grill burgers 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until cooked through (160 degrees F)
  5. brushing occasionally with the remaining 2 tablespoons steak sauce.
  6. Spread cut sides of rolls with cheese. Place 1 burger on bottom half of each roll. Top evenly with tomato mixture. Cover with tops of rolls
  7. Balance this special-occasion sandwich with smart side dishes. For example
  8. serve with a mixed green salad and fresh fruit.
