Smilejenna’s Lumpia Sauce

Description

This is the perfect sauce for dipping lumpia.

Ingredients

• 1 cup water
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons minced garlic, or to taste
• ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

1. Stir together the water
2. brown sugar
3. and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat
4. and stir until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce has thickened. Remove from the heat
5. and stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes.
