Slow Cooker Spare Ribs

Description

Slow cooked pork spare ribs, or country style ribs, also great with boneless, skinless chicken breasts.

Ingredients

  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 pounds pork spareribs
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (Optional)
  • ΒΌ cup cold water (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Place ribs in a large stock pot
  2. and cover with water. Bring to a boil
  3. and cook for 15 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl
  5. mix together soup
  6. onion
  7. garlic
  8. brown sugar
  9. Worcestershire sauce
  10. and soy sauce. Remove ribs from water
  11. and transfer to a slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs.
  12. Cover
  13. and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours
  14. or until ribs are tender.
  15. If sauce is too thin when cooking time is done
  16. drain sauce from ribs
  17. and pour into a sauce pan. Combine 1 teaspoon cornstarch with a small amount of cold water
  18. stir into sauce
  19. and bring sauce to boil. Cook until sauce has reached desired thickness.

Cook Time: 8 hrs 15 mins

Total Time: 8 hrs 45 mins
