Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

Description

This is a family favorite! Simple but absolutely delicious roast! It makes a fantastic gravy that complements the roast and goes great with mashed potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
  • 1 (3 pound) beef chuck roast
  • 1 (16 ounce) can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Place onion soup mix in the bottom of a slow cooker. Place roast in the slow cooker and top with cranberry sauce.
  2. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours.
  3. Remove roast from the slow cooker and set aside. Adjust the slow cooker to High.
  4. Whisk together butter and flour in a bowl; slowly mix into liquid remaining in the slow cooker to create a thick gravy. Serve with roast.
