Simple Roasted Chickpea Snack

Description

This is a great snack when you’re craving chips but want something healthier. They’re great on their own, but also yummy on top of a salad.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 dash crushed red pepper
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Whisk oil
  3. cumin
  4. garlic powder
  5. chili powder
  6. sea salt
  7. black pepper
  8. and red pepper together in a small bowl; add chickpeas and toss to coat. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  9. Roast in the preheated oven
  10. stirring occasionally
  11. until nicely browned and slightly crispy
  12. about 45 minutes.
