Simple Country Ribs

Description

Extra tender, extra flavorful ribs, bursting with barbeque flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ pounds pork spareribs
  • 2 (18 ounce) bottles barbeque sauce
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place spareribs in a large stockpot; add barbeque sauce
  2. onion
  3. salt
  4. and pepper. Pour in enough water to cover the ribs. Bring to a low boil and simmer for 40 minutes.
  5. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  6. Transfer spareribs onto the preheated grill
  7. reserving the cooking liquid. Cook
  8. basting with reserved cooking liquid often and turning frequently
  9. until nicely browned
  10. about 20 minutes.
