Simple Banana Bread

Description

I developed this recipe because I wanted a bread recipe, not cake-like, while living in a 10-foot trailer. This recipe is very low in fat.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas, mashed
  • ⅔ cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease an 8×4-inch loaf pan and set aside.
  2. Sift together flour

  4. and salt in a large bowl. Set aside.
  5. Mash bananas in another bowl and stir in eggs and sugar.
  6. Stir the flour mixture into the banana mixture just to combine
  7. then fold in walnuts. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean
  9. 55 to 65 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack for 10 minutes
  11. then remove from the pan and cool completely. Slice and serve.

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins
