Sharkey’s Barbequed Trout

Description

Delicious rainbow trout is marinated in a tangy sauce with rosemary, then barbequed on the grill.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • ⅔ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 6 (6 ounce) fillets rainbow trout

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl
  2. mix together soy sauce
  3. vegetable oil
  4. dried rosemary
  5. ketchup and lemon juice. Set marinade aside.
  6. Place rainbow trout in a medium baking dish
  7. and pour marinade over the fish. Refrigerate for approximately 1 hour
  8. turning trout once.
  9. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium high heat and lightly oil grate. Drain excess marinade from fish
  10. and transfer to a small saucepan. Bring marinade to a boil
  11. and than remove from heat.
  12. Place trout on the prepared grill. Baste fish with remaining marinade sauce while grilling. Cook approximately 5 minutes on each side
  13. or until tender and easily flaked.
