Seared Halibut with Bacon and Bean Relish

Description

I decided to try a sort of hot bacon and bean relish by slicing beans thin and cooking them raw in hot bacon fat. I used a little lemon loved how this came out with the seared halibut.

Ingredients

  • 4 (7 ounce) halibut steaks
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 8 ounces fresh green beans, tips trimmed, sliced into 1/8-inch pieces
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 30 mins

Total Time: 40 mins
