Description
Trying to get away from processed foods, I created a recipe for sausage balls that uses flour and doesn’t use baking mix.
Ingredients
- 1 pound bulk spicy pork sausage, at room temperature
- 2 (8 ounce) packages shredded extra-sharp Cheddar cheese, at room temperature
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ¼ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon seasoned salt
- ¼ teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine sausage
- Cheddar cheese
- flour
- baking powder
- salt
- onion powder
- seasoned salt
- and dry mustard in a large bowl.
- Form into walnut-size balls and place on rimmed nonstick baking sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and no longer pink in the centers
- about 20 minutes.
