Rustic Cabbage and Sausage Soup

Description

Easy and delicious rustic Italian-flavored cabbage soup.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound bulk Italian sausage
  • 2 medium carrots, cut into 1/2-inch rounds
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 large clove garlic, minced
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 3 (16 ounce) cans great northern beans, drained
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • ½ medium head cabbage, roughly chopped
  • 1 ¼ teaspoons Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Cook and stir sausage in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly
  2. 5 to 7 minutes. Add carrots

  5. and garlic; cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes.
  6. Add chicken broth
