Rhubarb Butter Crunch

Description

This recipe was passed down through my MIL’s family and is the best crunch ever! Serve with either ice cream or whipped cream. I have left the directions as she gave me – adds a touch of character to the recipe!

Ingredients

  • 8 cups diced rhubarb
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup rolled oats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a baking sheet.
  2. Mix rhubarb
  3. white sugar
  4. and 3 tablespoons flour together in a bowl; spread onto baking sheet. Mix 1 1/2 cups flour
  5. brown sugar
  6. butter
  7. and oats together in a bowl; sprinkle over rhubarb mixture.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven until browned and crunchy
  9. 35 to 40 minutes.

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cook Time: 35 mins

Total Time: 45 mins
