Portuguese Sweet Bread I

Description

This recipe is for the bread machine. It is similar to homemade grandmother’s sweet bread.

Ingredients

• 1 cup milk
• 1 egg
• 2 tablespoons margarine
• ⅓ cup white sugar
• ¾ teaspoon salt
• 3 cups bread flour
• 2 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions

1. Add ingredients in order suggested by your manufacturer.
2. Select “sweet bread” setting.

Cook Time: 3 hrs

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins
