Pickled Peppers

Description

These are great plain or even on a sandwich!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup distilled white vinegar
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • kosher salt to taste
  • 3 red bell peppers, halved, or more to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine water
  2. vinegar
  3. sugar
  4. and salt in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add red bell peppers to the boiling water mixture
  5. reduce heat to medium-low
  6. and simmer until peppers are softened
  7. 8 to 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer red bell peppers and liquid to jars
  9. cover with lids
  10. and refrigerate
  11. 8 hours to overnight.

Total Time: 8 hrs 20 mins
