Pancakes I

Description

My mom taught me this easy to memorize recipe for pancakes. We always tripled it for our family of seven.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat.
  2. Combine flour
  3. sugar
  4. baking powder
  5. baking soda and salt. Make a well in the center. In a separate bowl
  6. beat together egg
  7. milk and oil. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture. Beat until smooth.
  8. Pour or scoop the batter onto the hot griddle
  9. using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Brown on both sides and serve hot.

Cook Time: 10 mins

Total Time: 20 mins
