Pan-Fried Tilapia

Description

Easy stove-top preparation for tilapia.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • ½ teaspoon parsley flakes
  • 1 pinch lemon-pepper seasoning, or to taste
  • 1 pound tilapia fillets

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion
  2. garlic
  3. Cajun seasoning
  4. basil
  5. parsley
  6. and lemon-pepper seasoning. Stir until fragrant
  7. about 30 seconds. Add tilapia fillets and increase heat to medium-high.
  8. Cook tilapia until opaque and easily flaked with a fork
  9. 3 to 4 minutes per side. Adjust temperature if it browns too quickly.
