Pan-Fried Falafel

Description

I love falafel, but I don’t deep-fry them. This is how I make them in a pan. Serve with warm pitas, tzatziki, and your favorite diced vegetables. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • ½ cup fresh parsley
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs, or as needed
  • 1 cup oil for frying, or as needed

Prep Time: 30 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 50 mins
