Pan-Fried Asparagus

Description

This garlic asparagus dish is a Northern Italian side dish. My family loves it! Even the kids!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound fresh asparagus spears, trimmed

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Stir in the olive oil
  2. salt
  3. and pepper. Cook garlic in butter for a minute
  4. but do not brown. Add asparagus
  5. and cook for 10 minutes
  6. turning asparagus to ensure even cooking.

Cook Time: 15 mins

Total Time: 25 mins
