Oven-Steamed Salmon

Description

Salmon steamed in soy sauce and white wine in the oven with a topping of candied ginger and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 pound) salmon fillet
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chopped crystallized ginger
  • ½ cup dry white wine
  • ½ cup low-sodium soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Place salmon in a large baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Spread with garlic and ginger and pour wine and soy sauce gently over top. Cover with aluminum foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until easily flaked with a fork
  4. about 25 minutes.
