One-Pot Cabbage Roll Soup

Simple soup that tastes just like painstaking cabbage rolls! Cool and refrigerate for an easy dinner.

Ingredients

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ¼ medium head cabbage, chopped
  • ½ cup uncooked brown rice

Instructions

  1. Cook and stir ground beef in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly
  2. 5 to 7 minutes. Add onion and cook until tender
  3. 5 to 7 minutes. Add paprika

  6. and basil; cook until fragrant
  7. about 1 minute.
  8. Add tomatoes
  9. tomato sauce
  10. cabbage
  11. and rice; bring to a boil. Cover
  12. reduce heat
  13. and cook until rice is tender
