Description
A delicious use of day-old beer that no one wants to drink! Please don’t go buy beer just to make this bread. It goes swimmingly with a bowl of warm soup.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup oats
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ cups day-old beer
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Whisk flour
- oats
- sugar
- baking powder
- and salt together in a bowl. Stir beer and butter into flour mixture using a wooden spoon until dough is well mixed; pour into the prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean
- about 1 hour. Cool bread for 10 minutes before slicing.
