Mike’s Portuguese Tuna Rice Casserole

This is a very Portuguese recipe but I don’t know it’s exact name. Anyone make this at any time because you have all the ingredients already.

Ingredients

• 3 cups water
• 1 ½ cups uncooked white rice
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 small onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
• ¾ cup heavy cream
• 3 tablespoons ketchup
• 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
• salt and pepper to taste
• ½ cup sliced black olives
• ½ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 45 mins

Total Time: 1 hr

Servings: 6
