Mexican Buffalo Wings with Salsa Sauce

These Buffalo wings are great for families to enjoy on the weekend.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 15 chicken wings
  • 3 medium tomatoes, diced
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced jalapeno pepper
  • 1 pinch white sugar (Optional)
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix tomato sauce
  2. coconut sugar
  3. cayenne
  4. chili sauce
  5. cumin
  6. coriander
  7. pepper
  8. and salt together in a large bowl. Add chicken wings; toss to coat. Let marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place an oven-proof wire rack over the foil. Place marinated wings on the rack.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven until wings are browned and dry
  11. about 20 minutes.

  20. Transfer chicken wings to a large plate and pour salsa over the top.
