Yummy! Try these tasty muffins for breakfast with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter, softened
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup real maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a 12-cup muffin pan with paper baking cups.
- Sift together flour
- baking powder
- and salt in a large bowl; set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Stir in maple syrup and eggs; beat until well blended. Add flour mixture alternately with milk
- beating just until combined. Stir in walnuts. Spoon batter into the prepared muffin cups
- filling each about 3/4 full.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean
- about 20 minutes. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
