Kentucky Pecan Pie

Description

This pie is a family favorite. I get many requests to make this for our church bake sales.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • ⅓ teaspoon salt
  • ⅓ cup butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Mix together corn syrup
  3. sugar
  4. melted butter
  5. and salt in a large bowl. Add eggs and beat until well combined. Pour mixture into the pie crust and sprinkle pecans over top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature before serving.
