Johnsonville Italian Sausage, Onions & Peppers Skillet

Description

Need a quick and hearty lunch? Precooked Italian sausage slices with sauteed bell peppers and diced tomatoes make a zesty meal–served as is or piled on a hoagie roll.

Ingredients

  • 1 (22 ounce) package frozen Johnsonville® Mild Italian Sausage Slices
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes with basil, garlic and oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 Hoagie or sub rolls

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet
  2. saute the sausage
  3. peppers
  4. onion and garlic in oil until vegetables are tender
  5. about 10 minutes.
  6. Add tomatoes and pepper flakes. Cook and stir for 5 minutes or until heated through.
  7. Serve on rolls if desired.
