Japanese Sesame Steak Sauce

Description

This sesame-flavored beef dipping sauce is an imitation of a classic often served at Japanese restaurants and also at a popular chain of steakhouses in Alberta, Canada. Though it may seem odd at first, you too will soon fall in love with the mixture of flavors!

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 pinch paprika
  • ¼ cup water, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Whisk the tahini
  2. soy sauce
  3. mayonnaise
  4. garlic
  5. ginger
  6. and paprika together in a bowl. Gradually stir the water into the mixture until you reach a desired consistency. Refrigerate until ready to use.
