You’ll appreciate this nicely spiced combination on days when you’re pressed for time.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound fully cooked kielbasa, cubed
- 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes with juice
- ½ cup water
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- 3 dashes hot sauce
- 1 ½ cups orzo pasta
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large
- deep skillet over medium heat; cook and stir onion and green bell pepper in the hot oil until tender
- 5 to 8 minutes. Stir garlic into vegetables and cook until fragrant and softened
- about 2 minutes.
- Stir kielbasa sausage
- tomatoes with juice
- water
- paprika
- oregano
- thyme
- and hot sauce into onion mixture
- bring to a boil
- and stir in orzo. Reduce heat to low
- cover
- and simmer until orzo are tender
- about 10 minutes.
