Instant Pot® Goulash

Description

The best goulash recipe I’ve ever made! And so quick and easy with an Instant Pot®! Top with Parmesan cheese and enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pint sliced mushrooms
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
  • 2 ½ cups water
  • 2 cups noodles
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
  • 3 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Turn on a multi-functional pressure cooker (such as Instant Pot®) and select Saute function. Add beef
  2. mushrooms
  3. onion
  4. garlic
  5. salt
  6. and pepper. Cook and stir until browned and crumbly
  7. 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard fat.
  8. Add tomato sauce
  9. diced tomatoes
  10. water
  11. dry noodles
  12. soy sauce
  13. Italian seasoning
  14. and bay leaves. Close and lock the lid. Select high pressure according to manufacturer’s instructions; set timer for 4 minutes. Allow 10 to 15 minutes for pressure to build.
  15. Release pressure carefully using the quick-release method according to manufacturer’s instructions
  16. about 5 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid. Remove bay leaves before serving.
