Honey Ginger Green Beans

Description

Fresh green beans flavored with honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
  • ¾ cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 cup honey

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil; add green beans and cook until bright green and just tender
  2. about 5 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat soy sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir garlic and ginger in soy sauce until fragrant; stir in honey. Add green beans and toss to coat. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until beans are tender
  4. about 5 minutes more.
