Honey Cornbread

Description

A sweet cornbread that will crumble in your hand and melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup yellow cornmeal
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Stir together flour
  3. cornmeal
  4. sugar
  5. and baking powder in a large bowl; form a well in the center. Add cream
  6. eggs
  7. oil
  8. and honey; stir until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
  10. 20 to 25 minutes.
