Homemade Vanilla Pudding

Description

A delectable dessert. There is no substitute for the butter.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a medium saucepan over medium heat until bubbles form at the edges.
  2. Mix sugar
  3. cornstarch
  4. and salt together in a small bowl; add to hot milk
  5. a little at a time
  6. stirring until thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. Remove saucepan from heat
  7. and stir in vanilla and butter.
  8. Spoon pudding evenly into 5 serving dishes; chill in the refrigerator before serving.
