Homemade Deviled Ham Spread

Description

I searched for a recipe for this on this site and couldn’t find one, so I winged it and it turned out very nicely. I had to make a second batch to take to the New Year’s Eve party because the first batch disappeared. A great way to use leftover ham from holiday dinner to make a great spread for hearty crackers or rye toast points. Also good as a sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups cubed cooked ham
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons prepared mustard
  • 5 drops hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch caraway seeds, or to taste
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • ¼ cup finely chopped celery

Instructions

  1. Place ham
  2. mayonnaise
  3. mustard
  4. hot pepper sauce
  5. garlic powder
  6. onion powder
  7. celery salt
  8. black pepper
  9. paprika
  10. and caraway seeds in a large mixing bowl. Stir to combine.
  11. Use an immersion blender or food processor to puree the ingredients to your desired texture; stir in onion and celery. Chill before serving.
