G’s Flank Steak Marinade

Description

This is a marinade for any type of steak, but works well for tougher cuts when left for a couple of days.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 (1 1/2-pound) beef flank steak

Instructions

  1. In a shallow bowl
  2. combine soy sauce
  3. brown sugar
  4. lemon juice
  5. olive oil
  6. garlic
  7. onion
  8. ginger and pepper. Coat steak with marinade
  9. cover
  10. and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  11. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat
  12. and lightly oil grate.
  13. Grill steak for 7 to 8 minutes per side
  14. or to desired doneness.

Prep Time: 15 mins

Cook Time: 20 mins

Total Time: 6 hrs 35 mins
