Grilled Portobello Mushrooms

Description

Portobello mushrooms are the steaks of the mushroom family. Here there marinated and grilled, yummy!

Ingredients

  • 3 mushrooms portobello mushrooms
  • ΒΌ cup canola oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Clean mushrooms; remove stems
  2. reserving them for another use. Place mushroom caps gill-side up in a shallow dish.
  3. Combine oil
  4. balsamic vinegar
  5. onion
  6. and garlic in a small bowl. Pour mixture evenly over mushroom caps; let marinate at room temperature for 1 hour.
  7. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat; grease the grate.
  8. Grill over the hot grill until caramelized and tender
  9. about 5 minutes per side; serve warm.
