Gluten Free Red Velvet Cake

Description

This is the cake I am having made for my wedding. It was certainly a challenge to find somebody to use my recipe and to do it gluten free!

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup brown rice flour
  • ¼ cup coconut flour
  • ¾ cup sorghum flour
  • ¾ cup tapioca starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon xanthan gum
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder, divided
  • 1 cup canola oil
  • 1 ½ cups white sugar
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • ¾ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 ounce red food coloring
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cook Time: 25 mins

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins
